I was very nervous to go to Draco performance at first, the reason being is because I have never taken my car to a shop to have it worked on. Those who know me know that I love to work on my cars and I do so that I know it’s done correctly, ask gino. I figured out my turbo install, after gino had taken it out, without a manual, by my self. With that said I imagine that you understand my nerves in taking my baby to a shop. The experience was extremely impressive, so much so that I would feel totally comfortable trusting Barry and Sandro at Draco to work on my car as I do myself. Others feel the same way and you will too after about 15 minutes of watching them in action.

Draco is the ONLY shop I trust to leave my car at and not do the wrenching myself. The first time I talked to them they treated me as if I was on their level and not some noob (no offence to noobs) that didnt know a thing. I had been to the COBB classes before I went to the shop and met everyone there. I can tell if Im being bullshitted. They were open and honest and didnt try to sell me things I didnt need. They invited me down to the shop on a whim and didnt ask me to buy anything or pressuer me in any way.. hell, they bought me dinner for nothing (Leslyn will say its because of the whole Army thing ) but the point is they didnt have to.

I can't say enough about them. They Leslyn & Barry are genuinly great people. They never fail to give us 110% and then some. They give us killer deals on parts, Dyno time, and a great place to have a meet.
The 2 things I like most about them are their willingness to help in any situation, from a problem with an o2 sensor, to a family who lost everyhting due to a fire. And the Amount of knowledge and experience they have in the Automotive field.

Leslyn, Barry & Santuro {sp} were patient and very willing to share knowledge. Even after I messed up they fixed it and schooled me on my mistake.

It was great experience, to visit Draco Performance shop. They have been very nice to me and I was very pleased with job they done. I was nicely surprise with whole pre-tune inspection and I know my car was in right hands. After tune I didn’t have much time to talk but they say I receive a call from them in short period so if I have any question or problems we can discuss that over the phone. Price was very fair for job they done and I was 100% satisfy.

Draco…”recently installed my new turbo and brake lines. The quality of the work done was top notch, it took a bit longer than I expected but quality takes time and I'd rather take the car to someone who is sure to make sure the job is done right. I was antsy and called them a couple times each day for an update and Leslyn was always very good about getting back to me and giving me an update on the status.
The best part about dealing with Draco is that they're enthusiasts too and they understand the way people feel about their cars. Its so easy to deal with them because they share their clients passion for cars. Not to mention they're all just so friendly.
There is a negative though... every time I am out there I end up leaving wanting a subaru STI

I have used Barry since his initial Draco Performance opening meet. His prices have always been good. Parts will always be close to what you can find on the internet. Workmanship has been top notch since the beginning. The car is always disassembled and reassembled correctly. If I ran into any problems he would always look at it right away (no cost). Overall I am pleased with my experience with Draco Performance. I will continue to do business with Barry and recommend his shop to anyone.

Wow! I now understand why Randy goes to Draco Performance for his engine and tuning work. Although it sucks that it's going to cost me more money, I have never felt happier. Now I know what's wrong with my car and how to finally fix it. Barry found several age related issues underneath the car. He found three exhaust leaks (one of which is venting directly onto my fuel lines), a bunch of loose bolts, and some melted wire covers.
Those finds are not the most impressive thing about my visit with Barry and Leslyn today. Without driving my car, or putting it on the dyno, he found and fixed the issue with the ^&*(% Performance tune (with just his laptop)! Apparently, with the UTEC, a tuner can adjust the entire rev range. *%^& tuned the 0 to 3800rpm range and the 5500 to 6400 range (WOT). Due to Barry's laptop adjustments, I can now down shift to increase my speed . I can’t wait until he does the complete tune!

“The shop was Draco Performance, in Cornelius, which is just a few miles up the road from my house. It's co-owned by Barry and Leslyn Bodine (husband and wife). Barry is the son of Geoff Bodine, of Nascar fame, and has done a good deal of professional racing himself.
I would recommend them; they are very detail-oriented, and Leslyn is good about keeping up communication with customers. I pestered them to death over the last few weeks. They really made every effort to make sure I was happy.
The delays that led to my longer project cycle were largely out of their hands; their headwork vendor dropped the ball. The biggest "wow" factor is what happens in 3rd gear. Jeebus, you give it some throttle to merge in with the highway, and the needle just flies to the other side of the gauge.
